Caledonia Mining ( NYSE: CMCL ) on Friday reported record gold production from its Blanket mine in Zimbabwe for 2022, exceeding the top end of the company's guidance and achieving a long-standing production target.
The miner said full-year gold output jumped 19.7% Y/Y to 80,775 oz, while Q4 gold production rose 13.1% to 21,049 oz.
Caledonia ( CMCL ) also forecast FY 2023 consolidated gold production of 87.5K-97K oz, including Blanket mine output of 75K-80K oz and Bilboes oxides production of 12.5K-17K oz, at all-in sustaining cost of $1,150-$1,250/oz.
"We anticipate that the inflationary pressures currently being experienced by most mining companies will be offset by efficiencies resulting from the successful implementation of Central Shaft" at the Blanket mine, the company said.
