Capstone Green Energy ( NASDAQ: CGRN ) +12.8% in Wednesday's trading following news it won an order for a 600 kW microturbine system to be installed at a renewable natural gas station in Kansas.
Capstone ( CGRN ) said the new system, a natural gas-fueled Capstone C600S configured for dual mode operation, will provide reliable power for gas compression operations at a remote site where no utility electricity is available.
In addition to reliability and clean technology, Capstone's ( CGRN ) "ability to deliver and install the new system in weeks rather than months was also a significant benefit to the customer."
Capstone Green Energy ( CGRN ) said earlier this week that its distributor in Alaska signed a new 12-month, 600 KW energy-as-a-service rental contract with an unnamed oil and gas company .
