Celsius Resources Ltd (ASX:CLA, AIM:CLA)Managing Director Peter Hume speaks to Thomas Warner from ProactiveLondon about the latest developments from the battery metals-focusedexploration and development company. Hume explains that Celsius is nowboth ASX and AIM-listed and is making significant strides with itsflagship MCB Project in the Philippines.
He describes the Project as a copper porphyry with approximately300 million tonnes of high-grade resources, located in Northern Luzonin the Philippines. He adds that despite challenges during thepandemic, Celsius Resources continued drilling, and a pre-feasibilitystudy 18 months ago confirmed the project's economicviability.
The company has beenpushing on with the permitting process in the Philippines, where Humeacknowledges the government's efforts to introduce new policiesand guidelines to improve the mining industry's sustainability andenvironmental practices. He suggests that Celsius Resources is poisedto receive its mining permit for the MCB project "within amonth", making it one of the first companies to achieve thismilestone in recent times.
Hume saysthat with an experienced board and a dedicated team in thePhilippines, Celsius Resources is well-positioned to make rapidprogress. The company is not only hard at work with the MCB projectbut also exploring opportunities for collaboration with internationalpartners. An agreement with Silver Corp is already in the works, andother potential partnerships are being pursued.
