- CME Group ( NASDAQ: CME ) finished 2022 on a strong note as its average daily volume for the year reached a record 23.3M contracts, rising 19% from a year earlier in the wake of price volatility, it said Wednesday.
- Among some of the biggest contributors to that growth was equity index ADV, accelerating 39% to 7.9M contracts as of December, foreign exchange ADV, up 24% to 1.0M contracts, and cryptocurrency ADV (+82%).
- Also, interest rate ADV gained 18%, and ADV outside the U.S. increased 15% to 6.3M contracts, including 30% growth in Latin America, 27% in Asia, and 10% in EMEA.
- In November, CME Group's ADV ticked up 1% Y/Y .
