- CME Group ( NASDAQ: CME ) said Wednesday its international average daily volume of 6.3M contracts for 2022 marked a new record, mostly driven by strong Y/Y growth in Equity Index and Foreign Exchange products.
- ADV that took hold outside the U.S. climbed 15% from 2021, as Equity Index and FX products surged 26% and 22%, respectively.
- Middle East and Africa full-year ADV hit a record 4.3M contracts, rising 10% from 2021. The increase was helped by 20% growth in FX products and 17% growth in Interest Rate and Equity Index products.
- Asia Pacific ADV also reached a record 1.7M contracts, up 27% from the year before, driven by 48% growth in Equity Index and 31% growth in FX.
- Canada ADV grew 21% Y/Y to a record 155K contracts, reflecting 31% growth in Interest Rate and 30% growth in Equity Index. And Latin America ADV of 158K contracts drove up 30%, led by 70% growth in Energy and 50% growth in Equity Index.
