- Cohen & Steers ( NYSE: CNS ) said Tuesday that its assets under management dipped to $79.9B in March from $83.4B in February, representing a 4.3% M/M slump.
- The decrease was a result of market depreciation of $2.6B, net outflows of $700M and distributions of $318M, the company said. March was an especially volatile month as the failure of three regional lenders prompted contagion fears.
- Total institutional accounts AUM was $32.6B compared with $33.3B in the prior month.
- Open-end funds AUM of $36.4B slid from $38.7B, and closed-end funds AUM of $10.8B vs. $11.3B.
- The firm's AUM also slid 4% M/M in February .
