- Comtech Telecommunications ( NASDAQ: CMTL ) says Fred Kornberg is retiring as its chairman , and the company has named Ken Peterman to replace him.
- Peterman is currently an independent director. The move is effective July 22, 2022.
- Kornberg will step down as a director immediately before the next shareholder meeting.
- Along with the move, when Kornberg fully retires, Comtech will reduce the size of the board to eight members. Seven of those will be independent.
- “Ken has shown himself to be a highly capable successor, who can help guide the Company as it continues to transform itself and build upon its leadership positions in key areas of the Failsafe Communications market," says Director Judy Chambers.
