- Private airport operator Corporación América Airports ( NYSE: CAAP ) on Tuesday said total passenger traffic for the month of July increased 99.3% Y/Y.
- CAAP said the rise in passenger traffic was driven by increases across all countries of operations, particularly Argentina and Italy.
- It was also supported "by a continued recovery in travel demand following the gradual lifting of travel restrictions across all countries of operations," CAAP said in a statement .
- The company added that overall passenger traffic in July recovered to 78.9% of pre-pandemic July 2019 levels.
- CAAP said cargo volume for the month of July fell 5.1% Y/Y and stood at 73.9% of pre-pandemic July 2019 levels. Close to 70% of cargo volume came from Argentina and Brazil.
- Corporación América Airports ( CAAP ) stock earlier closed -0.5% at $5.60.
