Crescent Point Energy ( NYSE: CPG ) -1.5% in Tuesday's trading after saying it reactivated some production at the Kaybob Duvernay shale play but has temporarily shut back-in the rest of its 45K boe/day production in the area as a precaution due to the ongoing Alberta wildfires.
Vermilion Energy ( VET ) earlier cut its Q2 production guidance due to shut-ins from the Alberta wildfires.
Some 90 wildfires are active in Alberta , with 23 out of control, according to the provincial government, while oil and gas producers have shut in at least 319K boe/day, or 3.7% of national production.
