- Telehealth software company American Well Corporation ( NYSE: AMWL ) said that the company has partnered with CVS Health ( CVS ) to rollout the pharmacy retailer’s new virtual primary care service.
- CVS Health ( CVS ) Virtual Primary Care connects multiple health offerings under one platform, allowing access to primary care, mental health, chronic pain management, and the option of in-person care, the company announced in May.
- During the earnings call Thursday, AmWell ( AMWL ) Chief Executive officer Ido Schoenberg identified the partnership with CVS ( CVS ) as a key development in the second quarter.
- “The CVS Virtual Care digital front door is an exciting new initiative, and we are honored to be selected as the backdrop for this vision,” he added.
- CVS’ ( CVS ) primary care service will be available for eligible Aetna and CVS Caremark members and self-insured plan holders in 2023.
- AmWell’s ( AMWL ) 2Q 2022 earnings exceeded Street forecasts as revenue grew ~7% YoY to $64.5M, thanks to a ~19% rise in total visits.
