- Electronic Arts ( NASDAQ: EA ) and the National Football League have set a multi-year renewal of their esports partnership on the EA Sports Madden NFL Championship Series.
- Registration for Madden NFL 23 Championship Series is now open, with an "Ultimate Kickoff" broadcast set for Sept. 7 and 9.
- The newly announced MCS 23 will closely align with the NFL season, ending in a championship during the week of the Super Bowl, with $1.7M in total prize money available.
- “Madden NFL esports continues to deepen the love of the game with fans, players, and viewers. It’s teaching viewers how to improve at the game, while deepening engagement with Madden’s most loyal fanbase,” says EA's Brent Koning.
- The news follows the series' best season, after MCS 22 achieved a quadrupling of its average-minute audience year-over-year.
