We continue our critical Q2 earnings season review of regional bank performance today with Eastern Bankshares, Inc. (NASDAQ: EBC ). Thus far, regional banks have had better-than-expected earnings. We like examining regional banks to get a better understanding of what is happening with local economies on the ground. On average, loans and deposits are growing, margins have stabilized and are higher than historical averages, the cost of funds is coming down, and we have a more friendly administration for banks here in 2025. Thus far, it has been a great earnings season....
