Eco (Atlantic) Oil & Gas Ltd CEO GilHoltzman joins Proactive's Stephen Gunnion with an update on thecompany's projects offshore Guyana, Namibia and South Africa.
Holtzman noted that Eco has addedto its sizeable stake in the Orinduik Block, offshore Guyana, afterbuying out exploration partner Tullow Oil. It comes after previouswells on the block failed to deliver a discovery but significantly, asubstantial portion of the block’s prospectivity remains untested.
In particular, the type ofexploration play that yielded Exxon’s massive nearby discoveries hasyet to be drilled in this neighbouring acreage, as under Tullow’soperatorship the partner previously went after alternative targets.Eco now intends to re-partner and go after these already de-riskedprospects.
