- Ericsson ( NASDAQ: ERIC ) announced its longtime chief financial officer will step down in the coming year.
- Carl Mellander will exit the role at the end of the first quarter 2024, after a 25-year-plus career with the equipment maker, nearly the past seven of those on the executive team.
- "We have come to a mutual agreement that this is a good time for a change, as the turnaround phase is completed and the foundation for the next chapter of Ericsson's strategy has been laid," said CEO Börje Ekholm. "During his tenure as CFO, Ericsson regained its technology leadership and significantly strengthened its financial position."
- The company will launch a recruiting process to find a successor.
