- Ericsson ( NASDAQ: ERIC ) has received clearance from the Committee on Foreign Investments in the United States (CFIUS) to complete its long awaited acquisition of Vonage Holdings ( NASDAQ: VG ).
- This is the final requisite approval to complete the deal.
- Merger is expected to close no later than July 21, 2022.
- The deal was announced in November 2021, for $21 per share, representing a total acquisition price of approximately $6.2B.
- The transaction to be accretive to EPS (excluding non-cash amortization impacts) and free cash flow before M&A from 2024 onwards.
- Vonage ( VG ) will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Ericsson ( ERIC ) under its existing name.
- VG shares up 7% premarket.
