Eaton Vance Short Duration Diversified Income Fund ( EVG ) is a closed-end fund that provides investors with exposure to a diversified portfolio of fixed-income instruments. As the fund's name would imply, they more specifically focus on those securities that are considered short-duration (i.e., less interest rate sensitive). That makes the fund less interest rate sensitive in terms of underlying prices, which can be more appealing in a rising rate environment. However, when the Fed is cutting its target rate, that can also mean less income generation as yields decline....
