- NaturalShrimp ( OTCQB:SHMP ) said Tuesday there was a fire on Jul. 3 at its shrimp production facility in La Coste, Texas that damaged the water treatment plant (WTP), including the filtration equipment in the building.
- SHMP immediately engaged its emergency response team and had backup equipment to replace the damaged drum filters and EC gear, allowing continued production and sales in Texas.
- Initial investigation indicated that an external source near the WTP building caused the fire.
- SHMP said there were no injuries and no damage to the main production building.
- In a shareholder letter, SHMP CEO Gerald Easterling said live shrimp sales are targeted presently in Chicago and San Antonio, with expansion in the next 6-9 months in the Austin, Houston and Dallas markets.
- These sales are expected to increase every quarter and hit weekly production targets starting in Q1 and Q2 2023.
- SHMP projects reaching $1M in total sales by 2022-end.
- SHMP also plans to set up a NaturalShrimp Outlet, likely to be in the Dallas Fort Worth area.
