- Focus Financial Partners ( NASDAQ: FOCS ) jumped 12% in premarket trading after receiving a non-binding proposal from buyout firm Clayton, Dubilier & Rice for $53 a share.
- The PE firm made the offer on Sunday and the bidder expressed that the bid is its "best and final," according to a 13D/A filing by investors including Trident FFP, which has an 11.1% stake in Focus Financial ( FOCS ). The $53 offer represents a 15% premium to FOCS closing price on Wednesday.
- On Thursday Trident said it would be willing to participate in the transaction if certain conditions were met, according to the filing. Negotiations regarding definitive terms and agreements for a proposed transaction are ongoing.
