Fortuna Silver Mines ( NYSE: FSM ) said Wednesday the Mexican Federal Administrative Court has granted a provisional injunction which allows the San Jose mine to continue to operate under the terms of the 12-year environmental impact authorization.
Fortuna's ( FSM ) Mexican subsidiary had initiated legal proceedings to contest and revoke the annulment of the EIA in response to a resolution issued by Mexico's environmental ministry, which said last month it is re-assessing the 12-year extension to the EIA for the San Jose mine.
The court is expected to decide on the grant of a permanent injunction in the coming weeks, which would continue in effect until it rules on the revocation of the EIA.
Fortuna's ( FSM ) 2022 silver production was above guidance, while gold was nearly at the mid-point of guidance, FunTrading noted in an analysis newly published on Seeking Alpha .
