Galleon Gold CEO David Russell joinedSteve Darling from Proactive to discuss progress on the West CacheGold Project located in Timmins, Ontario.
The company has initiated the formal permitting process with theOntario Ministry of Mines to elevate the project from exploration toadvanced exploration status. Russell emphasized to Proactive that thistransition is a pivotal step for Galleon Gold. Gaining the finalacceptance for its Closure Plan and securing other necessary permitsare crucial for the company to begin mitigating risks associated withthe project.
He further detailedthat the data obtained from bulk sampling and the underground drillingefforts, which aim to identify new gold targets, are set to contributeto the pre-feasibility studies. These studies are essential for layingthe groundwork for eventual full-scale mining operations at the WestCache Gold Project.
Russell also noted that Galleon Gold isnearing the completion of applications for Environmental ComplianceApprovals (ECA), encompassing air, noise, waste, and industrial sewagemanagement. Additionally, the company is in the process of obtainingvarious construction permits needed for the development of thesite's infrastructure. This includes the Permit to Take Water(PTTW), which is vital for managing the use of surface water and forthe dewatering processes of the underground mine workings.
