- Gran Tierra Energy has been on a massive run this past year. Hence, anything that wasn't to the market's liking would lead to profit-taking when it reported Q1 results.
- Gran Tierra's Q1 2022 results failed to meet EPS consensus. However, I believe that there's much more to consider here and that investors have plenty of reasons to be bullish.
- The one blemish in this investment thesis is that Gran Tierra Energy hasn't got any capital return program.
- However, despite the above assertion, I make the case that paying 3x this year's free cash flows is probably cheap enough.
- As always, happy to discuss my thesis further in the comments section.
