GTI Energy Ltd(ASX:GTR, OTC:GTRIF) executive director Bruce Lane tells Proactiveresults from a recently completed airborne radiometric and magneticsurvey at the company’s 100%-owned Green Mountain ISR UraniumProject in Wyoming, USA, have revealed 12 miles (19 kilometres) of newradiometric anomalies indicative of uranium trends. Six prominenturanium anomalies were identified across the project area. Theseanomalies correlate with historically identified drill holes, interpreted trends, areas of past mining and/or knownmineralisation.
Lane said in today’s announcement: “The aerial geophysicalsurvey has provided us with clear direction as to where to drill atGreen Mountain.
“We have been able to utilise the historical drilling andgeological information completed by Kerr McGee Corporation, WoldNuclear and others during the 1970s and 1980s to help interpret andextrapolate significant additional anomalous uranium trends, particularly within the eastern part of the extensive Green Mountainland position.
“The land package is surrounded by significant uraniumdeposits and resources owned by Rio Tinto, Energy Fuels, Ur Energy andUEC, so we know we are in an area with real potential. Our next stepis to progress work on refining drill targets andpermitting.”
