Vancouver, British Columbia / April 29, 2024 – TheNewswire – Harvest Gold Corporation (TSXV: HVG)(“ Harvest Gold ” or the “ Company ”) is pleased to provide anupdate on the progress that the Company is making with the structuralstudy of its Mosseau Project located in the Urban Barry region ofQuebec.
The structural study incorporates the results of the recenthigh-resolution helicopter-borne magnetic survey (Figure 1), alongwith LiDAR data (Figure 2) and the Digital Elevation Model (Figure 3).Other data the Company is analyzing in the structural study includesfield geological measurements along with topographic data. Thecompilation of the various datasets allows the company to trace keyshear zones and important cross cutting fault zones across theproperty (Figure 4). These shear zones and faults are important forfocusing gold mineralization within an environment best known for itsshear hosted gold deposits.
Harvest Gold Senior Technical Consultant Louis Martin states: “Asmost of the mineralization identified on the Mosseau property isstructurally controlled and related to shear zones, today’s releaseincorporates the available regional datasets, both proprietary andpublic, to highlight structural features important for hosting goldmineralization. This combination provides us with much better clarityon the key elements of the geological stratigraphy, shear zones andfaults which will prove useful in delineating drilling targets.”
The next phase of the structural study includes determining which ofthe currently recognized shear zones and faults are linked toconfirmed gold mineralization and assessing the potential strikeextension of these promising horizons.
Harvest Gold President and CEO Rick Mark states: “When we took onthis large, underexplored property, we understood we needed to firstget an aeromagnetic survey done, so that, for the first time atMosseau, the many bits and pieces of historical data could beassembled, collated, and analyzed. Louis is leading the team andmaking tremendous progress.”
Ongoing compilation work will also update the geology map and identifykey mineralized stratigraphic contacts and structures. Once completed, historic diamond drilling data and surface samples will be included tohelp define lateral extensions of the interpreted mineral horizons, which will provide important information in formulating drillingstrategies at Mosseau.
