Hecla Mining ( NYSE: HL ) said Monday it has restarted operations at its Casa Berardi mine following the partial lifting of Quebec's ban on access to the road to the mine, and all mining and processing activities have resumed normally.
The company said it will update the impact of the Casa Berardi suspension and restart on production and cost guidance in the Q2 earnings release.
Hecla ( HL ) also said it completed the acquisition of ATAC Resources ( OTCQB:ATADF ), strengthening its position in the Yukon, with the Keno Hill mine entering production in Q3.
The company expects Keno Hill will produce more than 2.5M oz of silver in 2023 and become Canada's largest and highest-grade primary silver mine.
