Hochschild Mining ( OTCQX:HCHDF ) ( OTCPK:HCHDY ) said Wednesday its Q2 gold and silver production fell from last year , due to temporary delays at the Inmaculada mine in Peru.
Hochschild ( OTCQX:HCHDF ) ( OTCPK:HCHDY ) said attributable silver production for the quarter ended June 30 rose 16% Y/Y but fell nearly 10% Y/Y to 2.4M oz, while gold output climbed nearly 10% Q/Q but dropped 11% Y/Y to 43,620 oz.
For the year's H1, attributable silver production fell 12% Y/Y to 4.4M oz and gold output declined 14% to 83,360 oz.
Hochschild ( OTCQX:HCHDF ) ( OTCPK:HCHDY ) said production at its flagship Immaculada project in Peru was temporarily slowed by ongoing delays to its modified environmental impact assessment from Peruvian authorities; the company expects brownfield exploration will start in this year's H2, assuming the assessment is approved by then.
The miner said Inmaculada's Q2 production totaled 30,639 oz of gold and 1.3M oz of silver, lower than the previous quarter, as expected.
