- IMAX ( NYSE: IMAX ) has reached an expanded deal with Cineplexx Austria to add three new state-of-the-art locations, including the first IMAX system for Kosovo.
- Cineplexx - Austria and Southeastern Europe's largest cinema operator - operates eight IMAX locations across Austria, Serbia and Greece, with one in backlog before the new agreement.
- Now it will add three IMAX with Laser systems in Austria and Kosovo.
- The companies have been partners since 2009.
- "This agreement underscores that Europe remains ripe with growth potential for IMAX, as we look to expand in successful markets like Austria and into new, untapped countries such as Kosovo," IMAX CEO Rich Gelfond said.
