- Parsons ( NYSE: PSN ) and Culmen International, a team led by K2 Construction Consultants has won a five-year contract approximately $253 million with a total potential value of by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction Office (CWMD) for deployment of technology to detect nuclear and radiological devices entering the United States.
- Per the terms, the team will deploy radiation portal monitors to help first responders identify, stop, and disrupt the flow of radioactive and nuclear materials across U.S. borders.
- The units will be deployed across the U.S.–Mexico and U.S.–Canada borders, as well as in major airports, seaports, and global postal facilities.
