L3Harris ( NYSE: LHX ) certified substantial compliance with the Federal Trade Commission related to its planned $4.7 billion acquisition of Aerojet ( NYSE: AJRD ), according to a Dealreporter item, that cited familiar sources familiar.
The report comes after Dealreporter earlier this month said that Aerojet ( AJRD ) also certified compliance with the FTC's second request in late May.
Aerojet ( AJRD ) and L3 Harris ( LHX ) received a request for a more in-depth review from the FTC in March. The second request comes after the FTC filed a lawsuit last January to block Lockheed Martin's ( LMT ) $4.4 billion purchase of Aerojet ( AJRD ) due to antitrust concerns. Lockheed terminated the deal last February.
L3Harris ( LHX ) Chief Financial Officer Michelle Turner on Tuesday said the company was on track to certify compliance by the end of the month, which would set a 30-day clock for the FTC to review, she commented at a Wells Fargo Industrials conference.
