Linde ( NYSE: LIN ) said Wednesday it plans to spend ~$100M to raise production capacity of its industrial gases facility in Tangjeong, South Korea, to boost supply of high-purity industrial gases to Samsung Display.
Linde ( LIN ) said it will build, own and operate a new SPECTRA plant to produce more than 2K tons/day of high-purity nitrogen to be used for cooling and purging applications in Samsung Display's manufacturing process.
The new plant will expand Linde's ( LIN ) existing complex at Tangjeong, which already supplies industrial gases to Samsung Display; it is planned to start up near the end of 2024.
