- Live Nation ( NYSE: LYV ) has extended its employment contract with Chief Financial Officer/President Joe Berchtold through the end of 2027.
- That's a five-year extension, as Berchtold's deal was set to expire at the end of the week.
- In an SEC filing , the company notes the new agreement effective Jan. 1, 2023, and after the five years he'll be employed at will.
- In the deal, Berchtold will receive a base salary of $2M per year (with eligibility for annual increases), along with an annual cash performance bonus targeted at 200% of base salary.
- Along with the agreement, Berchtold received a grant of 744,691 performance shares.
- The company also extended General Counsel Michael Rowles through the end of 2027. Rowles deal was set to end at the end of the week as well.
- Rowles will receive a base salary of $1.1M per year and an annual cash performance bonus targeted at 150% of base salary. He also received a performance share grant of 74,469 shares.
