- Matrix Service ( NASDAQ: MTRX ) said Monday it was selected by Northrop Grumman ( NOC ) for 2 thermal vacuum chamber projects.
- The first project, which was awarded in Q4, is engineering, procurement and construction for a new thermal vacuum chamber at Northrop's Gilbert, Arizona campus.
- The thermal vacuum chamber is part of Northrop's expansion of its satellite engineering and manufacturing operations in Arizona.
- In Q3, MTRX was awarded a second project for EPC work related to the modernization of a thermal vacuum chamber at Northrop's Space Park in Redondo Beach, California.
- The project, which has already begun, will include EPC work on an existing thermal vacuum chamber to bring it to state-of-the-art condition.
- The front-end engineering design, and final design and engineering on both projects will be completed by MTRX's sister firm Matrix PDM Engineering.
