- Roughly half the US coal power plants are infringing on MEEC’s SEA technology used to capture toxic mercury emissions from coal exhaust and preventing it from entering the atmosphere.
- MEEC has secured license agreements with the top four users of its technology. MEEC is at an inflection point as these agreements begin to ramp up during this quarter.
- MEEC’s strategy has moved on to the next dozen largest users of the SEA technology which represents about half the $100m +/- per year total market.
- Additionally, MEEC is in the discovery phase of a lawsuit against numerous companies in the refined coal industry – a favorable settlement here could be worth hundreds of millions of dollars.
- MEEC is now rolling out its fundamental sorbent technology to new applications including wastewater remediation, methane mitigation, and rare earth element extraction.
