- Millicom ( NASDAQ: TIGO ) fell 11% in after hours trading following the end of takeover talks for the Latin American telecom company.
- The telecom firm announced that discussions with private equity firm Apollo Global ( APO ) and Claure Group were terminated, according to a statement.
- Millicom ( TIGO ) confirmed in late January that it was in discussions with Apollo and Claure Group about a potential sale following a FT report that the PE firm and former Softbank executive Marcelo Claure were considering a bid that would value the Latin American telecom company at almost $10 billion, including debt.
