- Angel Oak is a unique investment manager with specialization in the securitized debt space. We like their second CEF's niche approach.
- The fund has only been around a little more than a year, but in that time they've already established a strong track record.
- The portfolio is largely investment-grade bank debt and non-bank financial securities. These are nice diversifiers to other types of debt.
- DYFN's NAV has been up every month since inception but the price has not. We would be buyers of the fund's shares at a -6% discount.
- Be mindful of liquidity in this fund - both of the fund itself (just 17K shares trade daily) and the underlying holdings.
