OperationMilitary Family and Comcast today announced they are continuingtheir partnership to bridge the digital divide among veterans,including working with and supporting several other veteransorganizations in Washington state. Comcast will donate $20,000 and 100laptops to Operation Military Family to help address the needs ofveterans and their families, including physical and mental health,employment, housing, social support and more.
Comcast’s long-term partnership withOperation Military Family in Washington has:
- Provided laptops to ,helping more than 5,000 transitioning service members and theirfamilies connect to training and employmentopportunities.
- Provided 40 laptops to to support low-incomeveterans with connecting to earned services andresources.
- Provided local with free laptops, supporting afamily of six children in Seattle who had recently lost their fatherearlier in 2023.
- Donated laptops to Veterans Village inTacoma, helping veterans transition out ofhomelessness.
- Donated laptops to military families at inSpokane.
- Provided laptops and support to several locationsthroughout Washington.
- Worked with the to get free laptops inthe hands of veterans.

Volunteers throughComcast in Washington’s Veterans Network Employee Resource Grouprecently returned to the City of Pacific and a veteran memorial sitethe group helped prepare last November to help with beautificationefforts before the grand opening of the memorial. The memorialincludes three different sites, each honoring the servicemen and womenwho served in major conflicts such as World War I, World War II,Korea, Vietnam, the Gulf/Iraq War, and Afghanistan.
