- IMAX Corporation ( NYSE: IMAX ) said it marked July as its highest-grossing month in history after delivering $176.2 million at the global box office during the period.
- The figure surpassed the previous record, set in 2019, by a whopping $52.1 million.
- The success was fueled by Christopher Nolan's "Oppenheimer", which has already grossed more than $86 million across the IMAX global network with weeks left in its initial IMAX run.
- Last month was the highest-grossing month ever for IMAX worldwide, in North America, and in China, where Maoyan's "Creation of the Gods: Kingdom of Storms 1" has earned $20.1 million to date for the company.
