Owens Corning ( NYSE: OC ) on Thursday rose as much as 2.8% to hit a 52-week high on a positive day for U.S. stock markets. The Standard & Poor's 500 stock index ( SP500 ) edged upward to close at the highest level since August 25.
In the past few weeks since it reported Q1 results, Owens Corning ( OC ) has risen steadily to reach successive 52-week highs. The maker of insulation and building materials said net earnings grew 26% from a year earlier to $383 million, or $4.17 a share.
Adjusted EPS of $2.77 beat the average estimate among Wall Street analysts of $2.22. Sales were flat with the prior year at $2.33 billion and beat the consensus estimate of $2.22 billion.
Owens-Corning's ( OC ) stock has risen 18% in the past 12 months, compared with a 7% gain for the S&P 500.
