- Patterson-UTI Energy ( NASDAQ: PTEN ) -3.4% said Tuesday that James Holcomb has been named chief operating officer in a newly created role.
- Holcomb joined Patterson-UTI in 1988 through its acquisition of Robertson Onshore, and was the president of Patterson-UTI Drilling for the last ten years.
- The company also promoted Mike Garvin as president of Patterson-UTI Drilling.
- Garvin has more than forty years of combined onshore, offshore and geothermal drilling experience, most recently serving as senior VP of operations for Patterson-UTI Drilling.
