Introduction
Quaker Chemical ( KWR ), doing business as Quaker Houghton, is a leader in industrial process fluids, selling its products to companies active in (amongst others) the specialized steel, automotive and mining industries. The metal removal fluids, rolling lubricants, and hydraulic fluids are its main business divisions, representing approximately 57% of the revenue in FY 2024. As the sector constantly evolves, Quaker continues to invest in its products as it spends north of $50M per year on R&D in its 30 lab facilities. The stock is down by about 40% since I called the company ‘not cheap’ a few years ago, but I think Quaker Chemical warrants another look now, as the worst appears to be behind us. ...
