- With its transformative acquisition of Shaw in the rear-view mirror, Rogers Communications ( NYSE: RCI ) has set up key roles in its post-merger leadership .
- The company has tapped Navdeep Bains as its chief corporate affairs officer, tackling issues including improving connectivity in rural and remote indigenous communities. Bains joins from CIBC, where he's vice chair of Global Investment Banking, and had previously served as Canada's minister of Innovation, Science and Industry.
- Shaw's Zoran Stakic has been named chief transformation officer. That follows his role at Shaw as chief operations officer and chief technology officer.
- Terrie Tweddle, who worked for Rogers from 2008-2020 and rejoined last fall, is taking over as chief brand and communications officer.
- Meanwhile, Ted Woodhead -- Rogers' chief regulatory and government affairs officer -- will leave the company. And Brad Shaw (Shaw's former executive chair/CEO) and Trevor English (Shaw's former chief financial & corporate development officer) have joined Rogers' board of directors.
- Earlier in April, Rogers closed Canada's biggest telecom deal in acquiring rival Shaw for C$26B .
