Rolls-Royce ( OTCPK:RYCEY ) ( OTCPK:RYCEF ) said Friday it is assessing potential sites for small nuclear reactors it wants to develop that would connect to the U.K.'s power grid by the end of the decade.
Rolls-Royce ( OTCPK:RYCEY ) ( OTCPK:RYCEF ) said it is seeking to start formal negotiations with the government over funding for the next phase to build a factory to make the SMR power stations, and senior representatives have looked at two potential sites in southwest England where its SMRs could be located.
"We are looking to agree a route forward with government to enable us to start building British factories, commissioning supply chain contracts and agreeing export deals abroad as soon as possible," the company said.
The company said earlier this week it sold a record number of cars in 2022 , topping 6,000 for the first time, even as the average price for one of its cars soared to $534K.
