- S&P Global ( NYSE: SPGI ) acquired ChartIQ, a charting provider for the financial services industry, to add to its Market Intelligence division and enhance its S&P Capital IQ Pro platform, its Markit Digital division, and other workflow products, the company said Thursday.
- Financial terms of the transaction weren't disclosed. Before the acquisition, ChartIQ was part of Cosaic, a workflow solution provider that offers data visualization and smart desktop technology to the financial services industry.
- "By joining S&P Global Market Intelligence, ChartIQ will expand its reach to hundreds of thousands of users of Capital IQ Pro and thousands of clients of S&P Global's Datafeeds and Markit Digital solutions," Cosaic CEO and co-founder Dan Schleifer said.
