The Brooklyn Nets , owned by BSE Global, has named SeatGeek its official ticketing partner to begin this coming October. SeatGeek will manage ticketing for all Barclays Center events, such as concerts as well as Brooklyn Nets and New York Liberty games.
The mobile-focused ticket platform allows customers to compare ticket prices using its Deal Score technology. The company makes revenue through transaction fees and is able to earn a percentage of rightholder ticket prices.
SeetGeek’s technology will enable Nets and Liberty season ticket buyers to easily access, administer or transfer tickets from one device to another. Furthermore, Barclay’s Center guests can use the platform to listen to their pre-concert playlist, buy an upgraded experience, or even set up their transportation route.
“BSE Global and SeatGeek have similar DNA when it comes to innovating and adapting to the ever-evolving preferences of the live event consumer market,” said BSE Global CEO John Abbamondi. “We see great potential in leveraging SeatGeek’s latest technological developments and collaborating with them on ways to enhance the fan experience at Barclays Center.”
The agreement is SeatGeek’s third NBA partnership, alongside the Cleveland Cavaliers and New Orleans Pelicans. Additionally, the company has stricken deals with National Football League’s such as the Saints, Dallas Cowboys, and Arizona Cardinals. SeatGeek is also the “majority ticketer” for the English Premier League overseas.
“Barclays Center is one of the premier venues in the world,” said SeatGeek co-founder and CEO Jack Groetzinger, “so this is a monumental deal for us as we work together to modernize the experience of going to an event.”
