- Sempra Infrastructure on Thursday signed a 20-year power purchase agreement with Silicon Valley Power to supply clean energy in Santa Clara, California from Sempra's proposed Cimarrón wind project.
- Cimarrón is expected to be a 300-MW wind generation facility which would utilize the company's existing transmission line to interconnect to the East County Substation in San Diego County.
- Cimarrón is being developed to include ~60 wind turbines and construction is expected to create more than 2,000 direct and indirect jobs in Mexico.
- Sempra Infrastructure is a unit of Sempra ( NYSE: SRE ).
