Sempra Energy ( NYSE: SRE ) and Mexico's Federal Electricity Commission announced several agreements Thursday to advance the joint development of energy infrastructure projects in Mexico.
Sempra ( SRE ) said the new agreements establish the framework for a joint venture between the companies to ultimately enable the restoration of service provided by the Guaymas-El Oro pipeline in Sonora, and to outline a path forward for the Vista Pacífico LNG terminal in Sinaloa.
The companies also are expanding the memorandum of understanding signed earlier this year to jointly explore the potential development of an LNG terminal in Oaxaca.
Sempra ( SRE ) expects to grow its earnings per share by 6%-8% annually on average until at least 2026, making the stock "a solid pick in the ongoing bear market," Aristofanis Papadatos writes in a bullish analysis published on Seeking Alpha .
