Sidus Space ( NASDAQ: SIDU ) has secured an additional hardware manufacturing subcontract to support NASA’s Artemis Program and Space Launch System Manned Vehicle.

Per the terms of the subcontract between Sidus Space and Craig Technologies, Sidus Space will be in charge of manufacturing the umbilical quick disconnects on the universal stage adapter for the SLS.

For NASA's SLS, Dynetics is the primary contractor producing the Universal Stage Adapter.

The SLS is planned to be adaptable and developable for deep-space destinations and will launch the Orion spacecraft, people, and cargo to the Moon in a single trip.

By cause of the subcontract, umbilical quick disconnects are expected to be a key piece of hardware on NASA’s Space Launch System Manned Vehicle.

Shares are up 7.97% in premarket trading on Friday.
