Sigma Lithium ( NASDAQ: SGML ) +4.1% in Monday's trading after reporting production of continuous sequential batches of crushed lithium material and completion of commissioning of the crushing circuit of the greentech plant at its Grota do Cirilo project in Brazil on budget and a month ahead of schedule.
The company also announced the commencement of detailed engineering and capex costing of the greentech plant expansion from 270K tons/year to 766K tons/year of battery grade sustainable lithium.
Sigma Lithium ( SGML ) said it remains on track to commence commercial production in April 2023, and expects to start generating cash flow in Q2, producing battery grade high purity environmentally and socially sustainable lithium concentrate.
Sigma Lithium ( SGML ) trades at just over 20% of NPV and the high rates of production over a shorter timeframe will allow it to benefit from an elevated price, The Methodical Investor writes in an analysis posted recently on Seeking Alpha .
