Sonoro Gold Corp CEO Kenneth MacLeodjoined Steve Darling from Proactive to share significant findings fromthe company's surface sampling and detailed geologic mappingprogram conducted in the northwest region of their property. Theprogram has revealed three linear structural corridor repetitions withanomalous gold, silver, and base metal mineralization, along with avisually inferred fourth corridor.
MacLeod explained to Proactive that although only slightly over30% of the known mineralized gold zones at Cerro Caliche have beenexplored, the Northwestern Corridors Area has been identified as apriority drilling target for future operations. The structural andveined corridors are located adjacent and parallel to the El Rincónand Veta de Oro vein zones, where previous drilling results haveconfirmed the presence of gold-silver mineralized intervals.
Additionally, MacLeod mentioned that theplanned expansion, along with the scheduled infill drilling targetingthe higher-grade bodies of gold mineralization at the El Colorado andGuadalupe vein zones, has the potential to enhance the overalleconomics of the Cerro Caliche project. These efforts are aimed atfurther delineating and expanding the resource base of the project, ultimately contributing to the project's viability andprofitability.
The findings from the surface sampling anddetailed geologic mapping program highlight the prospectivity of theNorthwestern Corridors Area and reaffirm Sonoro Gold Corp'scommitment to continued exploration and resource expansion at CerroCaliche. Sonoro Gold anticipates production within the next 12 to 18months, which will further support their drilling activities andunlock the project's full potential.
