Standard Uranium President and VP ofExploration Sean Hillacre joined Steve Darling from Proactive to sharethe company's plans for an aggressive exploration program set tocommence in 2024.
The program ispoised to kick off with the mobilization of crews for the inauguraldrill campaign at the 3,061-hectare Atlantic Project located in theprolific eastern Athabasca Basin in northern Saskatchewan.
Currently, the Project is under an optionagreement with ATCO Mining, which aims to earn a 75% interest in theproject. Hillacre outlined that the 2024 drill program is designed tofulfill the first year of minimum exploration expenditures required bythe Option agreement.
The companyplans to drill 2,000 to 3,000 meters across 4 to 6 drill holes, with afocus on targeting high-grade unconformity-related uraniummineralization. One of the key areas of focus for the drill programwill be target area A on the Project, where a significant densityanomaly coincides with modeled electromagnetic conductors andinterpreted faults.
Additionally, the program will includefollow-up drilling on areas with highly anomalous uranium results andmajor structural intersections. Overall, Standard Uranium'saggressive exploration program underscores its commitment to advancingthe Atlantic Project and unlocking its uranium potential in the highlyprospective Athabasca Basin.
