- Stifel Financial ( NYSE: SF ) is hiring three executives formerly with Silicon Valley Bank ( SIVB ) to beef up its own presence in the venture banking sector, the company said Thursday.
- Jake Moseley, Matt Trotter, and Ted Wilson will join the firm as managing directors and will assume leadership roles in Stifel's ( SF ) Venture Banking Group. They're all based in the San Francisco Bay area.
- The three executives will work with Stifel's ( SF ) Brad Ellis and Nat Stone in a five-person operating committee focused on providing commercial banking and lending services to "help clients succeed and scale across all business sectors," the company said.
- In addition to venture banking, Stifel ( SF ) also provides fund banking, sponsor finance, securities-based lending, treasury, wealth management, and investment banking across equity and debt products.
- Moseley was most recently head of Relationship Management Technology Banking at SVB. Trotter was senior market manager and head of Frontier Technologies and Climate Technology and Sustainability. And Wilson was head of Enterprise Software at the bank.
- Stifel client assest in January rose 4.6% from the previous month, but fell 3.2% Y/Y.
